Plymouth to host the La Solitaire du Figaro - Top International Sailing Event

We are delighted to hear the La Solitaire du Figaro sailing event is coming to Plymouth in June 2014.

Plymouth’s Sutton Harbour will host some of the world’s top sailors when the 45th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro arrives in the city next June. It’s considered to be the world championships for single-handed yachtsmen and women, one of the main training grounds for the famous Vendee Globe race...

Private Functions & Weddings – Our function room available to hire

Along with our Hotel Bar on the ground floor, Partners Restaurant and function room, located under the hotel foyer, is an ideal venue to host weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and private parties. Fully licensed until 1am, with its own bar and facilities.

We can accommodate anything from 20 to 45 people for a sit down meal or 60 people for a Buffet. Room Hire is dependent on the type and length of your function. This can be discussed with your co-ordinator.

The Invicta Hotel in the Evening Herald

The Invicta Hotel in Plymouth has appeared in the local news paper, the Evening Herald.

Owner Roy Martin speaks about the recent major refurbishments he has had made to the Hotel.

"We've had a major refurbishment," he said. "All the public areas, the restaurant and lounge, this year. "And the front and side of the building still had bomb damage from the Second World War, so we've refurbished that too.

"If you are going to come out of recession you need to invest during the recession," he said. "You come out stronger and ready to rock and roll."
