In a recent blog update (here) Plymouth City Breaks highlighted what is coming up in 2014 including the La Solitaire du Figaro sailing race with thousands of people expected to descend on Plymouth in June.

If you like large outdoor music events, Plymouth is also set to host two of these too along side a strong events lineup including the British Firework Championships and more on the Plymouth Hoe.

Plymouth to host the La Solitaire du Figaro - Top International Sailing Event

We are delighted to hear the La Solitaire du Figaro sailing event is coming to Plymouth in June 2014.

Plymouth’s Sutton Harbour will host some of the world’s top sailors when the 45th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro arrives in the city next June. It’s considered to be the world championships for single-handed yachtsmen and women, one of the main training grounds for the famous Vendee Globe race...
