Large Event: Plymouth Festival of Sail a stones throw away from the Invicta Hotel

The Invicta Hotel is a stones throw away from Plymouth's next big event. The Plymouth Festival of Sail - 26th June to 7th July 2013.

This event includes a large number of fantastic events across the city and waterfront, starting with very popular La Route des Princes race. Ten teams will leave Valencia on 9 June and will reach Plymouth between 26 June and 29 June. A giant 80 feet maxi yacht will be among the enormous multi hulls that will stop over in Plymouth.

On 29th June join in with the celebrations of British Armed Forces Day traditionally taking place on historic Plymouth Hoe. Also starting on Saturday 29th June (till Sunday 30th June) from 11am is Plymouth’s favourite P1 Powerboats championships.

The Invicta Hotel - America's Cup Plymouth 2011

Roy & Betty Martin and the staff at the Invicta Hotel, along with the thousands of tourists and locals enjoyed the America's Cup event which took place during an action packed 9 days of high speed sailing.

The Plymouth Hoe where the hotel is a short walk away was also packed with events, live music and various forms of entertainment.

With the America Cup's organisers looking to return to Plymouth the hotel will be delighted to see the event return again.
